City Hall

The City Hall has been declared as one of the national monuments of Singapore. The building was completed in 1929 and was originally known as Municipal Building. It became the Singapore Judiciary in 1987. The historic building has witnessed and staged some of the most significant events in the history of Singapore. The British accepted the surrender of the Japanese army at the City Hall on 12 September 1945 which formally ended the Japan’s occupation of Singapore. It was here that Lee Kuan Yew, as Prime Minister, proclaimed self-government for Singapore on 5 June 1959

Little India

Little India is an ethnic district in Singapore. It is located east of the Singapore River—across from Chinatown, located west of the river—and north of Kampong Glam. Little India is commonly known as Tekka in the Indian Singaporean community. It is distinct from the Chulia Kampong area, which, under the Raffles Plan of Singapore, was originally a division of colonial Singapore where ethnic Indian immigrants would reside under the British policy of ethnic segregation. However, as Chulia Kampong became more crowded and competition for land escalated, many ethnic Indians moved into what is now known as Little India.

The Majestic

The Majestic is a historic building on Eu Tong Sen Street in Chinatown, Singapore next to Chinatown MRT station. Located between the People's Park Complex and Yue Hwa Building, it was known as Majestic Theatre, which was a Cantonese opera house The Majestic is one of the prominent landmarks in Chinatown, and the theatre was once the grandest building there. The building is a mixture of Western and Chinese architectural styles.

Singapore Criket Club

The Singapore Cricket Club is one of the premier sports and social clubs in Singapore.The SCC was established in 1837.
