Moore Memorial Church, 316 Middle Xizang rd. It was built in 1887 by American missionary C.F. Reid as a Southern Methodist Church. J.M. Moore donated in memory of his daughter in 1890. By 1925 it had 1200 followers. The new church needed to be constructed. It was completed in 1929. Main auditorium for 1200 people, four sections on the corners. Two-story hall with wooden seats for choir, Gothic ceilings, arch window. The facade in a Collegiate Gothic style with Romanesque manners. Textured patterns and scarlet brick walls, windows graced by dark grey stone quoins. 42.1-meter high bell tower was one of the highest in the city, the church - was one of the largest in China at that time. It was occupied by Japanese Army and used as a horse stable. It was used as a school during Cultural Revolution. After renovation it was opened for public in 2010.
