Duolun (former Darroch) lu, built in 1911 in Honghkou district is representative of the historic architecture of the 20th century in Shanghai. Many writers, such as Lu Xun, Guo Moruo, Mao Dun, Ye Shengtao, and Wang Zaoshi lived nearby. Houses were reconstructed and preserved.
