The Catalog of Proper Motions
and Line-of-sight Velocities of OB Associations
Notation
- name - the name of OB-association from C.Blaha and R.M.Humphreys
list (1989);
- l (deg.) - the mean Galactic Longitude;
- b (deg.) - the mean Galactic Latitude;
- r_ph (kpc) - the mean photometric distance from the Sun to the OB association, which equals r=0.8 rBH,
where rBH is the mean heliocentric distance from Blaha and Humphreys'
catalog (1989), for more details see e.g. Dambis et al. (2001);
- r_tg (kpc) - the trigonometric distance to the OB association derived from Gaia DR2 parallaxes and corrected for -0.110 mas,
par_tg=par_gaia_dr2+0.110 mas (Melnik & Dambis 2020);
- mul (mas/year) - the median proper motion along Galactic Longitude of the stars
of the OB-association;
- eml (mas/year) - the uncertainty in mul;
- mub (mas/year) - the median proper motion along Galactic Latitude of the stars
of the OB-association;
- emb (mas/year) - the uncertainty in mub;
- n_mu - the number of stars in the OB-association with known Gaia DR2 proper motions and errors RUWE<1.4
- Vr (km/s) - the median line-of-sight velocity of the stars of the OB-association,
km/s ;
- evr (km/s) - the error in Vr;
- n_vr - the number of stars in the OB-association with known line-of-sight
velocitiy, which were taken from the catalog of M.Barbier-Brossat and
P.Figon (2000); only velocities with estimation errors less than 10 km
s-1 were taken into account;
