The instrumentation and technique of positional photographic observations of Phobos are described. Observations made at the 60-m telescope of the Boyeros observatory in Havana in October 1988 and reduced at the Pulkovo observatory are reported. Twenty-two positions of Phobos relative to Mars are determined using the trace-scale method, and nine geocentric positions of Phobos and Mars are determined using the method of relation to reference stars. The integral rms error of the determination of Phobos positions relative to Mars observed with the trace-scale method is 0.44. The integral rms error of the determination of Phobos positions relative to reference stars is 0.21 arcsec, and that of Mars positions is 0.29 arcsec. Extract. Time scale - UT.
