Abstract: Astrometric positions of satellites VI and VII of Jupiter were obtained on plates taken at the 60-cm reflector at Table Mountain Observatory on one night in February 1968. Prediscovery images of minor planet (2153) Akiyama were found on two of the plates. The presentation of numerical results is bolstered with remarks on the four-century history of use of decimal fractions in astronomy.
