Abstract: Data are presented on position observations of Mars and its satellites with the Abastumani AZT-11 telescope during the Great Opposition of 1988. Thirty-eight and 17 positions were obtained for Phobos and Deimos, respectively, relative to Mars with an error of 0.30 arcsec, as well as 17 positions of Phobos relative to Deimos with an error of 0.18 arcsec. Correction for the photographic effect of the Mars phase was considered in the positions. The photographic plates are examined within the framework of the reference stars. Spherical coordinates of Mars and its satellites in the 2000-year equator system are obtained. The observational results are compared with ephemerides. The data are to be used to improve the theory of motion of Mars and its satellites.
