Abstract: Results are presented for reduction of photographic positional observations of Jupiter and the Galilean satellites performed with the astrographic telescope at Pulkovo in 1974-1976. Right ascensions and declinations (1950) for Jupiter and the four satellites relative to AGK3 stars are provided, along with the corresponding residuals. The Jupiter observations are compared with the ephemeris from an astronomical almanac, while the satellite observations are compared with an ephemeris computed from Samson's theory. The distances of Io, Europa, and Ganymede from Callisto are given, together with the rms errors in the observations of Jupiter, the four satellites, and the distances between satellites. It is shown that the observations of the Galilean satellites verify the high precision of Samson's theory and can be used to improve the theory of the motion of Jupiter.
