40-я ассамблея COSPAR в Москве со 2 по 10 августа 2014 года

В Москве с 2 по 10 августа 2014 года пройдет 40-я ассамблея COSPAR. Впревые на ассамблее COSPAR будет представлена тематика, имеющая отношение в проблеме SETI. Этому будет посвящено специальное событие ``S.4 Path to Intelligent Life in the Universe'', которое будет проведено в два заседания по одной половине дня каждое. Открыта регистрация и прием абстрактов, дедлайн для абстрактов 14 февраля 2014 года. Зарегистрироваться, послать абстракт получить всю информацию и т.д. можно, начав с сайта ассамблеи http://www.cospar2014moscow.com/ и используя имеющиеся там меню.

S.4. Path to Intelligent Life in the Universe

Description

This Special Event deals with the scientific, technical and interdisciplinary aspects of the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI). Papers are solicited about the scientific study of all kinds of possible contacts between Humans and Aliens. In the case of Passive SETI (i.e. Humans receiving signals), the technical side is not limited to the microwave window (1-10 GHz, as traditional in Passive SETI), but includes also optical and any kind of radiation. Life signatures from Extra-solar Planets are topics acceptable also. In the case of Active SETI (i.e. of METI, messaging to extraterrestrial intelligence) the interdisciplinary aspects include interstellar message design, composition, construction, and transmission techniques, plus all societal implications, risk communication and philosophical considerations of any kind of discovery or contact. Papers will also be acceptable in the field of SETI as a part of Big History, namely understanding the possible Evolution of Life on Exoplanets on the basis of what happened on Earth over the last 3.8 billion years. Finally, it must be clearly stated that all papers about UFOs will be REJECTED. In fact, the international SETI community regards UFOs as secret military projects supported by rivaling HUMAN countries that have nothing to do with Astronomy and SETI.
